We have a complete product manufacturing and testing process, and our products are guaranteed in quality. We provide cost-effective solutions for the safe, continuous, and maintenance-free operation of outdoor power systems.

Product Features

1. All-Weather Protection

Protection Rating Certification: Overall protection rating reaches IP65 (IP66 optional), achieving complete dustproof and high-pressure water spray resistance.

Slanted Rain Cap: Equipped with an extended rain cap on the top of the cabinet, effectively preventing water accumulation and snow buildup, and guiding water away from door gaps.

2. Temperature Control and Moisture Management

Anti-Condensation Design: Optional industrial-grade moisture-proof breather valve maintains the protection rating while balancing internal and external air pressure, expelling moisture from the cabinet and preventing electrochemical corrosion of electrical components from condensation.

Integrated Temperature Control Solution: The cabinet supports the installation of a constant temperature heater or cooling fan to ensure stable operation of electrical components under severe temperature differences from -40°C to +70°C.

3. Corrosion and UV Resistance

Stainless Steel Series: Made of top-grade 304 or 316 stainless steel, pickled and passivated, suitable for coastal high-salt spray and chemical plant environments.

Galvanized Steel Series: Utilizing hot-dip galvanized base material combined with outdoor-grade polyester powder coating, the paint will not fade or crack under strong UV radiation, providing a corrosion-resistant lifespan of over 15 years.

4. Modular and Convenient Installation Design

Adjustable Installation Structure: The internal beams and mounting plates of the distribution box feature a multi-hole design, allowing for flexible adjustment based on component depth, facilitating the layout of large circuit breakers and busbar systems.

Bottom Cable Inlet Base: Equipped with a raised base, it not only facilitates cable entry from underground but also effectively prevents groundwater from submerging the bottom cable inlet.

Which Environments Require Weatherproof Distribution Cabinets?

In some cases, installing ordinary indoor distribution cabinets can easily lead to short circuits, electrical leaks, or even fires due to water ingress, dust accumulation, corrosion, or temperature changes. Upgrading the protection level is essential. Therefore, we recommend using Weatherproof Electrical Distribution Cabinets in these scenarios:

1. Completely Outdoor Exposure Environments

Typical Scenarios: Municipal street light control boxes, traffic signal distribution cabinets, highway ETC power supply boxes, outdoor advertising screen power cabinets, rooftop elevator machine rooms, photovoltaic/wind farm inverter distribution units.

Risks: Direct exposure to rain, snow, hail, strong ultraviolet radiation, and significant diurnal temperature variations.

Requirements: IP65 protection rating or higher, stainless steel or high weather-resistant coating material.

2. High Humidity or Condensation-Prone Locations

Typical Scenarios: Underground utility tunnels, pump rooms, sewage treatment plants, swimming pool equipment rooms, greenhouses, aquaculture farms.

Risks: The air in these locations is saturated with moisture, making metal components prone to oxidation and reducing insulation performance.

Requirements: IP54 minimum, IP65 recommended. The enclosure must have excellent sealing and internal anti-condensation design.

3. Dust, Sand, or Fiber Environments

Typical Scenarios: Cement plants, wood processing plants, textile workshops, mines, desert infrastructure.

Risks: Dust accumulation leading to poor heat dissipation, contact adhesion, and arcing failure.

Requirements: IP5X (dustproof) and above. Door seams and cable entry/exit ports must be completely sealed.

4. Coastal, Chemical, or High-Salt-Spray Corrosion Areas

Typical Scenarios: Ports, offshore platforms, near-shore wind power projects, chemical plant peripheral control stations, electroplating workshops.

Risks: Environments rich in chloride ions accelerate metal corrosion; ordinary powder-coated steel plates cannot withstand long-term use and will rust through.

Requirements: 304/316 stainless steel enclosure + IP65 protection; ordinary carbon steel is prohibited.

5. Temporary Construction or Mobile Work Sites

Typical Scenarios: Three-level power distribution boxes at construction sites, temporary power cabinets for railway/highway construction, emergency power distribution for exhibitions/events.

Risks: No fixed shelter, frequent moving, uncontrollable environment.

Requirements: IP54 or higher + impact-resistant structure + handle/wheel design, complying with temporary power safety regulations.

Maintenance Guidelines

While our Weatherproof Electrical Distribution Cabinets boast high quality, high performance, and high durability, proper maintenance is still necessary to extend their lifespan.

1. Routine Visual Inspection: Monthly or quarterly inspections are recommended.

Appearance Inspection: Check the cabinet for dents, rust, especially welds and door edges. Check for paint peeling.

Door Seal Condition: Confirm that the sealing strips are not aged, cracked, deformed, or detached.

Lock Function: Test the door locks for flexibility and tightness, preventing unauthorized opening or rainwater intrusion.

Cable Inlet/Outlet: Check that the waterproof glands are tightened and that cables are not loose or worn.

Note: A special inspection should be performed immediately after the rainy season, typhoon, or sandstorm.

2. Quarterly Deep Maintenance: Recommended every 3–6 months.

Internal Cleaning: After power is off, open the cabinet door and use dry compressed air (≤0.3MPa) to remove dust from the rails, terminal blocks, and component surfaces. Do not use a wet cloth or water to wash.

Tightening Check: Use a torque screwdriver to tighten the main circuit terminals, grounding terminals, and DIN rail fasteners to prevent poor contact due to vibration.

Component Condition: Observe the circuit breaker for overheating, discoloration, or unusual odors. Test the residual current device (RCD) for sensitive operation.

Drainage/Ventilation Openings (if customized): Clean blockages from louvers or filters to ensure proper heat dissipation.

3. Annual Comprehensive Inspection: At least once a year; do not neglect.

Sealing Performance Verification: Check the elasticity of all sealing strips. Replace immediately if hardening increases or cracks appear.

A simple spray test can be performed on IP65 cabinets to observe whether water enters the inner wall.

Corrosion Protection:

Galvanized steel or carbon steel cabinets: Apply anti-rust paint to scratched areas;

Stainless steel cabinets: Remove salt stains or dirt with a neutral detergent to prevent chloride ion corrosion.

Grounding Continuity Test: Use a grounding resistance tester to ensure the resistance between the cabinet and the grounding system is ≤ 0.1Ω.

Functional Testing: Simulate load start-up and shutdown to verify the accuracy of control logic and protection actions in each circuit.

Prohibited Actions:

Do not open the enclosure door for cleaning or adjustment while the circuit is energized.

Do not use strong acids, strong alkalis, or organic solvents to wipe the enclosure, as this will damage the coating and sealing strips.

Do not enlarge holes or modify the enclosure structure without authorization.

Do not ignore minor rust or aging sealing strips.
